Burying the Hatchett is John's first novel.

Jeb Hatchett is a former Marine. He finds he doesn't have much time left and a close family friend has been kidnapped. he remembers that a Marine will do anything for a friend and anything to an enemy. With the help of some other former Marines, he sets out to do justice.
