The HAWG Team
Meet the crew behind HAWG Holsters. From the folks building the gear and keeping the factory running to the four-legged personalities who keep things interesting, this is the team that helps bring the HAWG brand to life every day. We are a hardworking bunch with a little grit, a lot of personality, and a shared commitment to Help America Wear Guns.
Meet the HAWG Team
John Abbott
John is a patriotic American, firearm instructor, Marine veteran, lover of freedom, hater of tyranny, author, and designer of the most comfortable and versatile holsters he has ever seen. If you have a HAWG holster, John designed it, made it, and shipped it.
John has worked since he was 12. He served in Operation Desert Storm, was a tour guide in the California Desert, and a hot air balloon chaser near Palm Springs, CA. John was forcibly removed from Arizona by his parents at the young, but never tender age of 3. He was raised in the Midwest with his 8 older siblings, and has forged his own way.
Tracy Abbott
Tracy has her hands in all aspects of the HAWG business behind the scenes. The team depends on her to keep us organized, she is the first point of contact for the media (if you saw us in a magazine or on TV, Tracy made that happen), and she is known to be the "office meanie" when it comes to deadlines.
We finally talked Tracy into leaving the corporate rat race and join us full time. She has two decades of experience in the fashion and beauty industries holding key roles in product development, buying, and merchandising at both the corporate and regional levels.
A few years after her corporate departure, she got a wild hair up her butt and decided to earn a doctorate degree. In addition to her role at HAWG, she teaches marketing to young skulls full of mush at a local university. She runs a tight ship in the classroom, too!
Clementine Abbott
Clementine is an integral part of the HAWG team. Her excellent judgement, high standards and vocal demands keep the team on their toes. Originally, Clementine was brought on board to head up security at the HAWG factory and office. It didn't take long for us to figure out that security is not in her wheelhouse. She now heads up our Hooman Resources department, which is a much better fit for her personality. Clementine also co-chairs the office "fun" committee.
Buckley Abbott
Buckley Magnus was recently promoted to Head of Security. He joined us in 2021, relocating from Arkansas. Buckley was the first employee in our new Management Training Program. We developed the HAWG Training Program to understand the team members' strengths before assigning their permanent roles.* Buckley was the model trainee. Buckley now oversees safety and security at the HAWG office and factory. In his spare time, he enjoys chasing lizards and hiding Russ' socks.
*We learned a valuable lesson with Clementine.
Advisory Board Members
Cephas Armstrong
Cephas represents the spirit of HAWG Holsters. He works for us as a buyer, consigliere, and product tester. His product feedback is invaluable, and he's been known to help with product naming and copywriting. Cephas is also a member of the HAWG shooting team.
Russ Braunseis
Russ represents the spirit of HAWG Holsters. He works for us as a buyer, consigliere, and product tester. Russ is Clementine's favorite co-worker. He is co-chair of the "fun" committee and a member of the HAWG shooting team.
John Snyder
John Snyder is the newest consigliere for HAWG Holsters. John works on the purchasing team and is an outstanding product tester. John and Buckley became fast friends, bonding over their mutual love for belly rubs.
The HAWG Internship Program
Vinny B.
Vinny is an intern at HAWG, a logistics wizard, and a full-time Westie whisperer. By day, Vinny turns chaotic packing slips into neat shipments; by break time, Vinny is negotiating treat tariffs with Clementine and Buckley. Studying business at ASU, Vinny tracks both numbers and tails—with equal enthusiasm. And for those of you who asked...no, he is not our cousin.
